Activities of Teachers’ Council (TC)

The Teachers’ Council is a Committee comprising of all the teachers as members and the Principal and Director as Ex- Officio Chairman and President respectively.  The council has general functions in maintaining sound academic atmosphere in the Institution.

In the beginning of the year 2007-2008 the Annual general meeting of TC was held where various Committee were formed comprising the Principal as the Chairman of each Committee and three to four faculty members as members of the Committee. The Committee are Examination, Library, Store management, Academic Planning, Attendance review, Hostel affairs, Cultural & Sports, Faculty development, Disciplinary action committee, Ethical, Budget, Training and Placement and Institutional Publication Committee.  Besides, responsibility of each class was imposed on a faculty member as class Coordinator who looks after the maintenance of discipline and punctuality among the students and through whom the information of the students comes to the Principal.

Altogether 08 (Eight) T.C Meeting were held during the year with the following agendas.

1. Principal proposed various committees of NBA work.
   
   
2. Proposed comes from the president desk and it is already implemented that 2008-2009 will be the first batch of the Sikkim University.
   
   
3. Anti-ragging committee was formed in accordance to the norms and condition of PCI and AICT
