Annual Report of Himalayan Pharmacy Institute for the Academic Year 2007-08

Success with purpose is the hallmark of Himalayan Pharmacy Institute education. This year’s annual report reflects on how alumni, faculty, staff and students are benefiting from the different Strategic Directives. Regardless of the different backgrounds and experiences of the individuals featured in these pages, each person tells a story about how HPI has influenced their lives in profound ways. Since we began the comprehensive strategic planning process in 2007-2008, we are seeing impressive results as we advance HPI’s vision of becoming a leading comprehensive international centre for excellence of Pharmaceutical Education & Research in the North East region.

I am pleased to share with you, the Annual Report 2007-08 of Himalayan Pharmacy Institute on the eve of the 19th Foundation Day of Rhenock Educational Society. Himalayan Pharmacy Institute is one of the three constituent Colleges of Rhenock Educational Society, which has been considered as the milestone of Pharmacy Education since last 18 years, in the entire North Eastern Region of the Country.

The academic year 2007-08 has been started on 2nd July 2007 and ended on 7th June 2008. This year has recorded the maximum development, expansion, academic involvement and appreciation for the Institute. Several innovative decisions have been taken by the authorities regarding the future course of action besides the infrastructural and curricular development of the Institute. The major activities and progress made during the year 2007-08 are highlighted in this report.
